My Second Blogiversary

People always say senior year is the easiest out of the four years of high school.

They lied.

Maybe I disagree with this statement because I am taking to many classes or applying to too many colleges… but from my perspective it is the hardest.

I have no time to do what I truly enjoy.

The blog turned 2 years old a month ago, but I didn’t have time to bake and celebrate. I was devastated when I had to study for calculus or read 100 pages of Spanish instead of celebrate my blog’s birthday. I planned on making lava cakes and blowing out candles, but instead I was taking notes on the constitution (I mean, that was fun, but nothing can replace eating a cake).

I want to thank all of my readers for sticking with my blog even when I’m not here. I love blogging. It is one of my most treasured hobbies (I wrote a college essay all about baking, so you know I am totally obsessed).

Thank you for your comments, likes, and views. The smallest things give me the biggest smile.

This second year of blogging has been amazing. I have started to incorporate more of my annoying and talkative personality. I love including stories behind the recipes I share.

Thank you for being here and taking the time to watch my blog grow up, and helping it overcome the terrible-twos. Seriously, I was worried its teeth would never come in. 😉

Let’s hope that year three means more recipes, more post, and a lot more chocolate.

Thank you again for always giving me a reason to smile (yes, I am being cheesy 😉 ). I truly appreciate all of your support. I love all of you.

❤ ,

  1. Awww I’m so sorry that it isn’t getting better! I’m in AP Calc too and IT IS SERIOUSLY THE HARDEST CLASS I’VE EVER TAKEN. No joke. I hope after Nov. 1st you’ll get your celebratory cake though 😉
What colleges are you applying to? (Do you have a dream school? 😀 )

    1. Thanks… it’s really hard but I also enjoy most of my classes, so that’s a plus (I think). AP Calc is one of my favorite classes, it’s just a lot of work. 😦

I’m applying to five schools! I would like to stay in Texas because I just love it here, but I am also looking out of state. Currently my list is at: The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Wellesley College, UCLA, and possibly Vanderbilt University. I don’t have a particular dream school because, well, I think I can get an amazing education from any school. How is junior year?

Thanks for the comment, Anne. 🙂

      1. Yes, I love calc so much too! It’s absolutely amazing (I’m also taking physics ap right now and it’s just so cool how all the pieces fit together!).
Ohhh in state tuition is also a lot cheaper so it’s great that you like it so much in Texas. Here, it’s miles and miles, and miles, and miles of cornfields but I love this city 😛
Junior year? I am dyingggggg. fyi, 3 ap sciences, ap calc, ap french do not go together. I’m just really glad I don’t have to mess with college apps yet 😐

      2. I don’t love calc (I mean, I like it but you seem to really enjoy it), haha… my favorite class that I took junior year was AP US history it was absolutely amazing. I took 2 AP sciences my junior year- AP Chemistry & AP Physics – they were the absolute worst… I’m not a science person. I also took AP Spanish, so I know how it feels to take a language + annoying science classes.

Yep, in-state-tuition is a beautiful thing!

You will do AMAZING! If you need any advice feel free to contact me, I’d love to help. 🙂

      3. Hhahaaa yeah I really like it :D. Our school doesn’t even offer apush :/ but I’m sure you enjoyed it wayyyy more than I would’ve. I took US history over the summer since we need it to graduate and finished it in 2 weeks -so worth it :P. OMG REALLY?!!!! AP chem is such a wonderful thing -we get to blow up something every week! jkkk but really it’s so great and i’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it more :/
        Thanks Hira 😀

      4. Haha, AP chem was SO MUCH work. I don’t mind doing the work if I really enjoy the subject, but I didn’t like the content which made it the worst. I’m just more a history and English person… and you seem to be a math and science person, which is totally awesome! You should definitely consider a career in the STEM field. 🙂
