Brownie Sundae

Hi, friends!

Today I have a super easy, but super delicious “recipe.” I put recipe in quotations because I’m going to show you how to assemble brownie sundaes.

I love getting brownie sundaes from ice cream shops, but they always seem to have mushy brownies, with a bad ice cream to brownie ratio. I mean, I like having chewy dense brownies with ice cream, so when the ice cream melts it can trickle into the brownies. (Am I making you drool?)

I decided to make brownies a couple of nights ago, and then I noticed I had ice cream, and boom brownie sundaes. Because these were impromptu I didn’t have whipped cream, sprinkles, or chocolate sauce. I substituted with strawberries and chocolate chips, which by the way is a match made in dessert heaven. 🙂

YIELD:  1 sundae PREP TIME: 10 minutes

BAKE TIME: 0 minutes TOTAL TIME: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 scoops ice cream
  • 3 brownies, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
  • 3 teaspoon chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Put chopped brownies at the bottom of the ice cream bowl.
  2. Scoop ice cream.
  3. Put all toppings on top.

NOTES:

  • I used this brownie recipe. (It’s my favorite, but you can use a boxed mix if you’d like)
  • I used chocolate chip ice cream, but use your favorite.

I know this is not a “recipe,” but I love sundaes and brownies and wanted to show you that you don’t need to spend $6.99 for ONE sundae. Instead, you can have, like, 5! Yes- I won’t judge- you can eat 5 ice cream sundaes.

What is your favorite topping for a sundae?

I love to have rainbow sprinkles or M&Ms. Rainbow sprinkles for aesthetic appeal and M&Ms because they taste good, duh!

Have a sweet weekend! ❤

  1. My favorite sundae is like the one with the bananas in the bottom then ice cream then chocolate and caramel sauce. Lastly topped of with pecans and whipped cream. Sometimes if I am feeling crazy I put a cherry on top. 😆 I think that is just a regular sundae but I don’t know😊
