Today’s recipe is one of the most simplest recipes ever. Side note: I think if we value the simple things in life we can be and will be happier people. I mean, if you start appreciating the small things in life like: a green light on your way to work or a good hair day; you will become a positive person. That’s all for my words of wisdom, now on to the banana bread. This is the queen of all banana breads. The banana flavor is so inviting and cozy, and a bit of chocolate doesn’t hurt.
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
YIELD: 12 servings PREP TIME: 15 minutes
COOKING TIME: 35 minutes TOTAL TIME: 50 minutes
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 2 1/2 overriped bananas
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Next line loaf pan with foil/parchment paper and spray with cooking oil. To make batter cream together sugar and butter. In a separate bowl mix together flour and baking soda. Next add egg to sugar and butter mixture, until combined. Once egg is fully incorporated add bananas and milk; the mixture will look chunky. Add flour mixture to banana mixture, and mix until combined. Fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Place mixture in loaf pan and top with remaining chocolate chips. Place in oven for 35-40 minutes or until center is completely set. Once done baking allow to cool, then remove bread from pan. Enjoy!
