I know last weeks post was not in any way shape or form healthy, but hey New Year means new food! So today for all you who’s New Years resolutions say “Eat Healthy” this is for, you’re welcome :). Today’s recipe is made up of luscious chocolate, sweet cherries, and crunchy almonds. Dark Chocolate and Cherry Almond Bark
Yield: 12 servings Prep Time: 15 minutes
Inactive Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes
- 6 ounces of dark chocolate (you can substitute with you favorite chocolate)
- 1 cup of toasted sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup of dried cherries
Start by lining baking sheet with parchment paper. First create a double boiler to melt your chocolate by pouring water into a pot one inch below the top. Next put a heat proof bowl on top of the water until it simmers (do not boil). Add chocolate and oil mix with a wooden spoon until completely melted. Next add chopped dried cherries and almonds to the chocolate. Spread almond, chocolate, cherry mixture to parchment paper Allow to cool for 15 minutes, enjoy.
