Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Welcome to my blog! Thank you for stopping by. I started this blog because I have been inspired by many other wonderful blogs. Here you will find delicious dessert recipes, because I believe a simple dessert can solve all problems. Without further ado, here is the simplest dessert you will ever make. I always thought making chocolate covered strawberries was hard, because I always burnt my chocolate in the microwave. After learning the double boiler method I will never use the microwave again! This recipe is so simple yet so delicious. The layer of chocolate works well with the juicy strawberry, resulting in an explosion of flavor. You must make these for your friends, family, uncles, neighbors, cousins, aunts, and more. Just make these because they are out of this world!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

YIELD: about 10 servings PREP TIME: 5 minutes

COOKING TIME: 10 minutes TOTAL TIME: 15 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  •       8 ounces milk chocolate bar or one cup of chocolate chips (you can use your favorite chocolate)
  •       One tablespoon of flavorless oil (canola or vegetable)
  •       About 20 strawberries

DIRECTIONS:

Start by lining baking sheet with parchment paper. First create a double boiler to melt your chocolate by pouring water into a pot one inch below the top. Next put a heat proof bowl on top of the water until it simmers (do not boil). Add chocolate and oil mix with a wooden spoon until completely melted. Dip each strawberry in to the chocolate. Finally cool for 30-45 minutes serve and enjoy!

*If you’re in a time crunch then you can put your strawberries in the freezer for about 20 minutes.

What is your favorite sweet? My favorite sweets are donuts I could eat 100 in one sitting.
